Programming Rubric
For all programming assignments in the Robotics Unit:
- 60% of the grade is to have a program with all of the required elements that compiles
- 30% of the grade is if the program works as specified (partial points if it works partially)
- 10% of the grade is for clearly indented, readable code and comments.
Notes:
- The due date for every program is the day AFTER it has been assigned.
If a program is assigned today, it must be completed by class tomorrow to earn full points.
- Unless you have an excused absence, programs lose 20% of their value for each day that they are late after the due date. Make arrangements to come in after school as soon as possible if you find yourself falling behind.
- Students are welcome to assist other students, which means explaining what is needed , or how to fix a program. Students are expected to practice academic honesty, do their own work, and not copy from each other. Transmitting or receiving the code to solve the programming problems from a website, USB or any other way will earn a "0" for the assignment for both the sender and the receiver. Students can earn "hero" points equal to 1 challenge program for helping 3 other students by explaining a problem with their code and how to fix it without touching their computer in any way or giving them the exact code to type in.
